The streets of my Brooklyn neighborhood are a rich source of raw materials, and what I find there—often by chance—fuels the studio’s work.
The Brooklyn Map tables were created to celebrate the origin of these materials. Each piece of wood was collected from a different part of the borough, brought into the studio, and cut into the shape of its neighborhood. Inlaid onto tables rescued or made from reclaimed wood, these fragments are given a second life while still carrying the story of their past.
Together, they form a cohesive, multi-colored whole—a layered, mixed-origin narrative that tells the story of Brooklyn.
