For the dining room of Amy Lau’s 2009 Metropolitan Home Showtime House in New York City, Drink Another reimagines the chandelier as a sculptural centerpiece. Inspired by the dark, suspenseful world of Showtime’s Dexter, the pair of fixtures hovers above the table like a baroque cascade of tension and drama.
Hundreds of reclaimed wine glasses, each dipped in white latex and delicately bound with yarn and ribbons, form a floating, intricate composition that is at once whimsical and unsettling. Developed in close collaboration with more than twenty local artists and artisans, the chandeliers are part of a larger suite of custom-made interventions — including tableware, wall sculptures, mirrors, and consoles — that transform the dining space into a theatrical, immersive experience.
